Hilary studied art at Loughborough and contributed work to many local projects, some of which can still be seen in Leicester, her home town. Her artwork was quickly noticed and led to the many commissions that cemented her reputation. Moving to Cornwall, Hilary established her gallery in the beautiful coastal town of St Ives, based at St Ives Gallery on the wharf in St Ives.
Hilary lives with her family in Falmouth and shows, along with other artists, at the gallery where she is often to be found painting, discussing commissions, original paintings, prints or just talking to the downright curious. Hilary has an affinity for nature and loves to paint finely observed studies of local wildlife as well as animals and birds from her trips abroad. Her recent works have been compared to David Shepherd and their popularity has led to a demand for high quality limited edition giclee prints. Her style and approach gives Hilary broad appeal from those wanting to collect original artwork as well as the print buyer. Her work now hangs all over the world.
