Born in London, England in 1962, David spent many of his childhood days drawing almost anything with just pencil and paper. His work in adult life took him to the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, where he was inspired by the spectacular coastal scenes and colourful fishing harbours. Working for many years in watercolours since, David has moved into drawing with inks and also using the media in combinations. His latest discovery is gouache. David's mentors include Stephen Bradbury (his hero!) and Matthew Hedges, both of whom paint in gouache, and David owns some of their original work.

Malcolm Bowmer was born in the heart of sunny Sherwood Forest near Nottingham. His first job was in the coal mines where he painted many underground scenes. (He used a lot of black paint in those days).
17 years ago he moved to St Ives in Cornwall to paint, opening his own Gallery on the St Ives harbour front. A piece of his work was commissioned for, and presented to the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Malcolm also designed & sculpted his own giftware range - Eggbert, which went on to sell over 3 million pieces. Recently, thanks to the latest Giclée print technology from Dace Digital, he has had many of his paintings published in low Limited Editions, exploring the stunning Atlantic Ocean colours of the South-West Cornwall beaches. |
